French 19th-20th century Louis XV bombe shaped petit-bureau de dame (secretary) banded with a gilt rim.
Six small drawers form the superstructure of the desk.
A small gilt decorated (non-working) clock is centered above the drawers. The leather desk top is outlined witha gilt twisted ribbon and the desk is fitted with a frieze drawer, attributed to Francis Lois Linke (1855-1946).
The pad feet and knees of the cabriole legs are decorated with a gilt leaf design and the front of the freeze drawer is similarly decorated with an extended carved leaf and bottom moulding.
